Psalm 78:38-40

³⁸ But He, being ^(A)compassionate, ^[a](B)forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them;
And often He ^[b](C)restrained His anger
And did not arouse all His wrath.
³⁹ Thus ^(D)He remembered that they were but ^(E)flesh,
A ^[c](F)wind that passes and does not return.

⁴⁰ How often they ^(G)rebelled against Him in the wilderness
And ^(H)grieved Him in the ^(I)desert!
